Data Center Topologies for Uptime Institute Tier III and Tier IV
Data Centres of the Future Keynote Theatre
Uptime Institute Tier ratings are a globally accepted standard for evaluating reliability and maintainability of a data center. To meet Uptime certification requirements the system must be concurrently maintainable or fault tolerant while running on onsite generated power with no utility service available. System architectures that meet these standards create design and cost challenges due to the inherent redundancy requirements. The session will cover architectures meeting Uptime certified Tier III or Tier IV requirements and consideration for impact on the system topology and generator set ratings.
