Automating Critical Infrastructure Layer 0 as Foundation for Sustainability
Fiber networks are now part of the critical infrastructure of society, financial systems and economies. In addition to carrying critical information/transactions/data layer 0 provides vital connectivity across towns, countries and the globe. The last few years of the pandemic demonstrated how important these foundational layer 0 connections are to smooth functioning of society. However, managing layer 0 connectivity is largely stuck in last century paradigms of manual connections, splicing and testing. In this session we will explore how full remote automation of layer 0 infrastructure can promote sustainability while at the same time creating stronger, resilient and enduring connectivity for society.
