Alastair Thompson is a dynamic and accomplished international business leader who has made significant contributions to the safety of workers in construction and beyond. With over 30 years’ experience in global B2B strategic development especially in the renewables sector, safety, onshore and offshore wind markets, he brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge to the industry. He has worked extensively in corporate and government sectors, spanning industries such as renewable energy, aerospace, utilities, oil & gas, industrial chemicals, engineering, manufacturing, petrochemicals, and support services. His track record in business strategy and P&L performance has been pivotal in establishing, managing, and growing businesses across EMEA, Australasia, APAC, China and the US. Based in Singapore, he oversees business growth across Asia in his role as APAC Business Development Director at Kee Safety and has been instrumental in developing and executing regional sales strategies aligned with company objectives. Managing organic growth and regional expansion, he oversees a team of sales professionals, and channel partners and provides valuable inputs to product line and marketing teams, ensuring the incorporation of customer requirements to provide innovative safety solutions to the rapidly growing demands of Data Centres. He was formerly Global Sales Director at Limpet Technology where he marketed a revolutionary approach to height safety in various sectors, including the rapidly developing Wind Industry. His expertise extends to a tenure as Sales Director at Latchways PLC where he contributed to the company's successful flotation on the London Stock Exchange and managed a substantial business unit with significant turnover and profit responsibilities whilst actively working with trade organizations, safety committees and industry partners to elevate safety standards across all industries. His earlier roles include stints at Unilever and Phillips Petroleum where he held senior sales management positions.
