Sumit is Chief Executive Officer of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (India). In his role, he is responsible for the company’s strategic direction, leadership and continued growth in India. His exceptional stewardship has been pivotal in the company, having secured a significant 33% market share, and cementing STT GDC’s reputation as the foremost player in India's data centre industry. Prior to his current role, Sumit was Chief Executive Officer of Tata Communications Data Centers (TCDC) and held various senior positions at TCDC’s parent Tata Communications. At the forefront of innovation in the regional data centre market for decades, Sumit also held leadership roles in international organisations including Cisco, Microsoft and Brocade. Sumit is Chairman of the IGBC Green DC Rating System and as a Member of the CII National IT/ITES Committee that underscores his commitment to advancing the industry. Sumit holds a master’s in management from XLRI Jamshedpur in India. He also holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications from Gulbarga University in India.
