Vice-president, East Asia and Japan, Secure Power division, Energy Management Business,
Venkatraman Swaminathan is the vice-president for East Asia and Japan in the Secure Power division of Schneider Electric’s energy management business. In this position, Venkatraman is responsible for supporting partners and customers to drive the all-digital data centres of the future, while ensuring operational efficiencies and always-on digital transformation, particularly in the East Asia and Japan region.
Venkatraman has more than three decades of experience in handling various leadership roles in business management across multiple functions, such as P&L management and business leadership, sales, service, and marketing in the critical-infrastructure industry. He has been with Schneider Electric for more than eight years and has worked in critical roles in managing business transformation through the strategic acquisition of Uniflair India and President Systems (formerly APW President). In 2014, he took up additional responsibilities to lead enterprise sales and business development of the secure power division and was promoted to vice-president of the secure power India business in 2017.
Prior to Schneider Electric, Venkatraman held leadership roles at Uniflair, APW President, Emerson Electric and Voltas. He has an MBA in marketing from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, and a Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical engineering from Bharathiar University, Chennai.
